The City of Albany’s Downtown Office and Planning and Development Services will host a public hearing on the Transportation Alternatives Program funding from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for the improvement of downtown streetscapes.  This will provide an opportunity for public input on the objectives for residents’ considerations and other relevant local concerns. This grant will help the City in its efforts to define the downtown area, encourage tourism and walkability, increase transportation options, and enhance economic vitality and sociability.
