Fleet Management
Fleet Management repairs and maintains city-owned vehicles/equipment and provides a centrally located pool of vehicles for out-of-town travel and special projects. Fleet Management generates specifications for new vehicles, inspects new vehicles upon delivery for compliance to specifications, and maintains three (3) fuel sites.
Fleet Management is a customer-oriented department committed to providing the highest quality service to all City departments in a courteous, professional manner at all times. The department is charged with the responsibility of purchasing and maintaining safe & reliable vehicles/equipment, providing mechanical support in a timely manner, and providing service & products that are safe, efficient, and cost-effective. Fleet contributes to the quality of life in the City of Albany by partnering with our customers to provide expertise and cost-effective service delivery while fostering the preservation of natural resources.
