The City of Albany’s Downtown Manager’s Office and Recreation and Parks Department are proud to announce the seventh annual Paint the Town Pink event.

The purpose of this event is to honor breast cancer survivors and individuals who have been affected by the disease and to raise public awareness of the condition. Lequrica Gaskins, Downtown Manager, stated that the Paint the Town Pink event has become an all-important community event with a mission to inform, empower, educate, and celebrate survivors.

Paint the Town Pink is coordinated to increase awareness of available resources by educating the citizens on the importance of early screening and detection of the disease. This year marks the second year that the Paint the Town Pink event will stream virtually on The City of Albany’s and Downtown Albany’s Facebook pages. The event will consist of a guest speaker, door prizes, musical performances, and a fashion show.
