The Basic Firearm Classes Are Now Open!

The eight hour class is open to citizens 21 years of age or older and covers basic handgun safety, legal issues, and handling skills needed to deploy a handgun for self-defense.

Applicants will have to sign a release and authorize the Albany Police Department to conduct a background check to determine eligibility for the course.
