Michael M. Custer
The City of Albany's Interim Attorney is Michael M. Custer. Mrs. Custer was born in Columbus, Ohio, in 1970 and graduated from Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut. She graduated from the University of the South in 1992 with a B.S. in Political Science and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi in 1995.
Following graduation, Mrs. Custer returned to her hometown of Macon, Georgia, where she handled Social Security disability claims and Bankruptcy matters. In 1998, Mrs. Custer was married and moved to Albany, Georgia, where she went into private practice with continued work with Social Security disability and Bankruptcy cases and employment discrimination and worker's compensation cases. She was appointed Chapter 7 Trustee for the Middle District Bankruptcy Court from 1999 to 2003.
