Floodplain Management Review Board Schedule of Regular Meetings
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of January, April, July, and October at 2:00 PM at 240 Pine Avenue, Suite 380, Planning and Development Conference Room.
Applications for variances and Special Use Permits are accepted through the 10th of each month. If a complete application has been submitted, a hearing on the application will be scheduled for the following month. If a regular meeting is not scheduled for the following month, then a special meeting will be scheduled in order to hear the application.
This seven member joint city/county board was established to hold hearings on Special Use Permit applications and to provide for an appeals procedure, in regard to the Floodplain Management Ordinance requirements. One of the members is appointed jointly by the City and County Commissions, three by the City Commission, and three by the County Commission, with members serving a three-year term.
