Gas Rates
Purchase Gas Adjustment December 1, 2021 to present $0.697 bTU
Btu Adjustment (British Thermal Units)May 2, 2017 to present $.0294. This adjustment is for the heat content of the gas. Btu is the abbreviation for British thermal unit, a measurement of the heating value of natural gas.

All billings will be subject to the Purchased Gas Adjustment charge. Gas sold under this rate is subject to adjustment for any heating value above or below 1000 BTU cubic foot. State sales tax shall be applied to gas charges.

Environmental Compliance Cost Recovery $.0060 per kWh for Residential and Commercial.

Sewer Rates
Inside City Limits: $12.95 plus $4.15 per 1,000 Gallons based upon average monthly consumption of water during January, February, & March. For new residential customers with no consumption history during these months, $12.95 plus $4.15 per 1,000 Gallons for 6,000 Gallons per month.
Outside City Limits: $8.28 plus $4.15 per 1,000 Gallons based upon average monthly consumption of water during January, February, & March. For new residential customers with no consumption history during these months, $8.28 plus $4.15 per 1,000 Gallons for 6,000 Gallons per month.

Storm Water
The City of Albany Storm water Utility has established the Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) at 2,700 square feet, and has assigned most Single-Family Residential customers a flat rate user fee of 1.0 ERU for storm water services.

Other Information
Deposit
All Residential customers applying for services with Albany Utilities are required to make a deposit to cover the utility services that are available at the new address.
The deposit amount will be based on the customer's credit rating.
The Deposit Amount Will Not Exceed $200.00
Current Customer
A current customer with a deposit can transfer the deposit if moving to a new address. If the current deposit is less than the deposit required for services at the new address, additional deposit will be required. Some customers may be required to make a deposit before transferring or acquiring new services.
Refund
The customer deposit will be applied to the account after 1 year if the account has not been delinquent during the 1 year period and an excellent credit rating has been maintained. If the customer no longer requires Utilities services, the account will be final and the deposit will be applied to any balance due. Any credit balance will be returned to the customer by mail.
